Yudian Hosts CPPCC Delegation Led by Vice Chairman Leung Chun-ying

On October 26th, Leung Chun-ying, Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), led a delegation of over 20 CPPCC members from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to Yudian where they conducted inspection tours, research discussions, and exchange meetings under the theme of "Deepening Cooperation between Fujian and Hong Kong" .The visit was accompanied by esteemed leaders including Cui Yuying, a National CPPCC Member and Deputy Director of the Committee on Liaison with Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and Overseas Chinese; Ruan Shiwei, Vice-Chairman of the Fujian Provincial CPPCC Committee; and Wei Keliang, Chairman of the Xiamen Municipal CPPCC Committee. Zhou Yu, Chairman of Yudian, and Jiang Yanfang, General Manager, warmly received the delegation and delivered detailed briefings on the company’s operations.
During the visit, Vice-Chairman Leung Chun-ying meticulously observed the workshop production processes, gaining in-depth insights into Yudian’s manufacturing model, the advantages of modular assembly, and its sophisticated on-site management system. He also probed into the company’s technological research and innovation initiatives.

Under the national dual-carbon goals of carbon peak and carbon neutrality, lithium-ion batteries and photovoltaics—key pillars of the global energy transition—have spurred rapid industrial growth. As a core enabler behind both clean energy value chains, Yudian stepped in during 2022 when surging upstream and downstream demand for lithium-ion batteries drove aggressive capacity expansion, yet imported temperature-control instruments critical for battery manufacturing faced severe shortages. The company ensured stable supply of its domestically developed solutions, thereby safeguarding the smooth scaling-up of the lithium-ion battery industry chain and demonstrating China’s capability to secure critical supply chains through localized innovation.

In the photovoltaic industry—positioned to be the ultimate green energy solution—Yudian has made significant contributions by addressing critical challenges in advanced manufacturing processes. As photovoltaic technology evolves from PERC to TOPCON, the precision required for temperature control has escalated dramatically, outpacing the capabilities of a handful of imported temperature-control brands traditionally used in PV equipment. This created a production halt risk for customers relying on these foreign solutions, as the new process demanded tighter thermal management tolerances unattainable by existing imports.
Yudian tackled these technical challenges head-on with its newly developed cascade intelligent temperature controller, which safeguards the critical thermal control processes enabling photovoltaic cell conversion efficiency to leap from 22% in the PERC era to 25% in the TOPCON era. This innovation marks a pivotal breakthrough: domestically manufactured instruments have now surpassed imported counterparts in core technologies, ensuring seamless upgrading of the entire PV industry chain while yielding substantial social and economic benefits—including enhanced global competitiveness for China’s renewable energy sector and reduced dependency on foreign critical components.
At the symposium, Vice-Chairman Leung Chun-ying highly commended Yudian for its sense of responsibility—pledging uninterrupted supply and price stability amid the global chip shortage—and its dedicated efforts in advancing domestic equipment technology, highlighting the company’s pivotal role in ensuring industrial supply chain resilience. He emphasized that Hong Kong, as a highly internationalized metropolis with robust advantages in market reach, talent pools, marketing expertise, and global commerce, is ideally positioned to collaborate with Xiamen in specialized sectors. By leveraging these synergies, the two regions can jointly facilitate the overseas expansion of Xiamen’s leading enterprises and cutting-edge tech products, thereby fostering shared prosperity and elevating the competitive edge of the Fujian-Hong Kong partnership on the global stage.

Members including Ko Wing-man, a member of the Executive Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Lui Yiu-tung, Vice-Chairman of the Kerry Properties Limited in Hong Kong, and Lo Kam-wing, Executive Vice-Chairman of the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong, also conducted in-depth inquiries into Yudian's brand value, its prospects in the international market, the proportions of its domestic and international market shares, as well as the envisioned direction for its future innovative development.
Moreover, both parties engaged in discussions and exchanges on various issues, such as the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone in the Hetao area and the transportation accessibility between Xiamen and Hong Kong.
Green development, low-carbon transformation, and digitalization are the pivotal elements that drive the high-quality and structural transformation and development of the future economy. As a long-standing and dedicated player in the temperature-control industry, Yudian will always keep in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping's exhortation to serve the country through the real economy. By adhering to the principles of practical action and innovation, Yudian aims to enhance its competitiveness, excel in its field, and contribute more significantly to the realization of the carbon-neutrality goals not only in China but also on a global scale.
